Stuggling to finish my work now especially the June holidays only left 2 weeks. it seems so amazing ow the human brain works. Its like everytime the June Holidays are starting, you began to miss your friends as you won't be seeing them for a long time. But when school reopens, you feel like you miss your carefree lifestyle without the endess chatter of teachers, endless piles of homework, endless aches and sores of your schoolbag and the endless strong eager feeling when you look at your bed and wishing to sleep but your homework alarm ringing non-stop. So we are hyping up the vacation blues!
I just came back from Kuala Lumpur and I realise that the only way for all students would be to leave the country. All of us, in our own way, try to escape from reality especially when things are taking a sharp bad turn or when you are just trying to forget trivial things like homework. I was talking to my teacher that day and we were just comparing our schooldays and 'school society' in the different generations. Hers was a more relaxing one and she was just stupefied to find out that all of us are so stressed. In the past, holidays was a way of escaping the realities of school life but in today's terms, vacation is the way of escaping school life. That's because the long hand of homework (adapted from the long hand of justice) can still reach us in Singapore. It's only when we are overseas, where we can finally get away from everything. So since vacation is the only time to be free, go overseas for a day or two and get free!! Try to ignore that looming pit of gloom in you when you think about the unfinished homework (that's how I felt) and get free!!!!!!
